“The Number One Art That Won the West!”
Howdy pardners! You've just boot scooted onto the biggest wild west art show, since the time of the Oklahoma land rush. We are proud to present a more mastered style of prints of the old western life of the 1870s-80s era, that so greatly influenced the American western culture that we know of to this very day.
Richard Lee Cheney, the artist, has developed a more sophisticated, and European type of techniques in his approach to this Western subject, that no other American artist has attempted up to this time.
Well buckaroos! Here's a wild and wooly little master print. This print is about the gold mining days up in an old Montana mining town, in the 1870s-1880s, things could get pretty wild and raunchous, when those cowboys got into town just off the trail, after bringing up all those steers from the Texas pan handle. When the miners got into town from a long day at the mines, it could prove to be a night of knock down, drag out, chaotic barroom brawls, not to mention the multiple shootouts. Yep sir! The fights were mostly over the dance hall girls and the cheating card sharks who lived in the saloons.
